We were required to georeference a couple of aerial photos of the UWF Campus. Everything went smoothly, but it would have helped to have a good processor.

Week 5 - Bay County, Florida

The object of this exercise was to compile GIS data for Bay County, Florida. This was the most challenging map exercise yet! Formatting the image files was the biggest problem.

Week 4 - Florida Counties

This is a map depicting the variability of acreage calculations when using different geographic projections. The small details took the most time in addition to the network lag. Some layout shortcut tips and templates sure would be nice...

Week 4 - Haiti Relief Map

I found this map, ftp://157.150.195.135/Maps/DamageAssessment/PAP_assessmentmap_overview_block.pdf, posted at http://www.un.org/Depts/Cartographic/english/htmain.htm. It depicts all the basic information one would need to begin a survey of the affected areas. I think this is an excellent example of a well designed and formatted map.

Week 3 - Mexico

The first map depicts Mexico's high and low elevations, second map shows cities within Central Mexico, and the third map illustrates Mexican population densities. This map assignment was fun! I love making maps. Also, I found out that its much quicker to turn off all "nonactive" layers when editing.
